Old Fashioned Orange Pineapple Pie
This Old Fashioned Orange Pineapple Pie yields 6 servings.
2 cups drained orange sections
1 cup drained pineapple chunks
3/4 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons minute tapioca
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 teaspoon almond or rum extract
3 drops yellow food coloring
2 crust pie shell (9-inch)
Section and drain oranges and pineapple chunks.
Combine sugar, salt, tapioca, orange juice, flavoring and food coloring.
Pour into pie shell and dot with 1 tablespoon butter.
Cover with top crust and bake at 425°F about 50 minutes.
